Anneke Kockelkorn exhibits in our museum shop until October 2019 with a mix of drawings and paintings, often mixed technique, which are partly figurative and partly abstract.

After studying at the Free Academy in Heerlen and the City Academy in Maastricht, Anneke focused on constructive monumental design and later clay plastic and pottery. At a later age she returned to her childhood love: drawing and painting. The fascination for the primordial shape of the female body has remained a constant factor. While avoiding superfluous details, she searches for the expression of the essence of volume, attitude and gesture. In her more abstract work she evokes a mysterious atmosphere with color and accentuation.
