Sunday, September 1, 2019 was a special day for Museum Valkenburg. Seventy-five years ago (Great) Valkenburg was liberated by the Allies and a large and special exhibition was put together for this purpose. Alderman Claudia Bisschops opened the exhibition at 3 p.m. and emphasized the importance of continuing to tell and show the history of Valkenburg in all facets in order to allow new generations to experience the past.

The exhibition contains many testimonies on video, photos and materials from the beginning of the war to the liberation. Unique and sometimes never seen or known things can be seen.

Below a 60-second video of the opening and the exhibition. The exhibition can still be seen until October 27, 2019, look at this page for more information, admission prices and opening times: https://www.museumvalkenburg.nl/agenda/exposition-we-do-remember/
